I wonder the s...I totally hear what you are saying. I wonder the same thing sometimes. I would NEVER contemplate a 100 mile week in my training ... for, uh, a hundred miler! <br /><br />Truthfully though, a 100 mile race puts a ton of stress on the body. Not something I could do frequently. But I think if you build up to higher mileage weeks - for me, about 75-80 mpw - you teach your body to handle a certain amount of stress, and those training weeks become really key for success on race day.<br /><br />Anyway, I say "go for it!" Just be sure to build up to it, and back off if you feel a threat of injury.
