Where There's a Whim There's a Way (Round II)

Eff it. I'm going for it.

Like Mike said recently, "Doing the 100k would have been like eating 3/4ths of a Ben & Jerry's pint - you may as well eat the whole darn thing."

So I'm going to eat the whole darn pint of Ben & Jerry's, so to speak.

Ripping through the Internet, trying to find some inspiration today, I found this You Tube video, and I got goose bumps. I'm freakin' excited...my first 100-miler!

Crash, out.

  1. Why the heck not? Now you've got a whole month to get ready. Sounds good to me! :)

    Nice video. Very cool.

Will you have to wear the chili peppers the whole way?

  2. Ah yes, I will be wearing the peppers the whole time. But, I bought my own pair so that they would fit correctly :) They're actually pretty darn comfy, too! I was worried they'd suck, but not at all (and they even have built-in pockets on the back for Gu and what not. Woohoo!

  3. You'll do great!!! Though I don't think the Ben & Jerry's logic makes sense (especially since 62/100 isn't 3/4), I don't think there's any logic to running 100 miles and I think you made an excellent decision!

  4. Hahahaha you're right, Danni, when it comes down to it, there is zero logic involved in running that long! I'm really looking forward to the experience :)

  7. Awesome, Paige! Best of luck to you on your first 100. I love Mike's analogy about Ben & Jerry's ice cream, hehe. Maybe those chili pepper shorts will give you extra powers that day, too!
